Didn't Get The Memo

Cort kisses a gorgeous model. Other people do boring stuff. Oh, and there's a chase scene. Imagine that.

Hilarious and sad...
m-478263 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Hilarious for how unrealistic and preachy this episode could be. But it aired in the early 90s, so it gives it an advantage to all the PC garbage, networks are force feeding us with these days. And sad, for exactly showing, the one in a million diamond in a rough, good thug/bad thug urban legend. Caused more bad than good, over the years. Baywatch was never a very thoughtful series, but this episode can't rely on the « good message » it's trying to convey, anymore, to generations who witnessed how toxic this naive optimism can be. Memo, whose father was a bottom feeder, literally. Because he can't even swim, and almost drowned at one point. Is very unlike able, for acting like he's the toughest. When he was the one who needed saving, the first time he was introduced. And his background is cliché ridden, and hard to root, or even care for. Colt is back, and I'm glad they addressed his sudden departure from the show. But this episode was clearly one of the Eddie centric of season 2. And was written accordingly, to make him the hero and good guy/repentant bad seed, again. At least Shauni was there, but I can't get over Jill's tragic fate. She really was the heart of the show...

Baywatch!

Warning: Spoilers
What... gangbangers on the beach, hah. Putting rivals together, what a ridiculous plot. Danny Trejo appears and annoying Cort back as well. Eddie's finest hour though.
