Snobs
MovieJunkie56 April 2020
I used to watch Snobs when I was little. It's not a great tv series, doesn't have a good plot of a well written script but it holds a sentimental value that can't be replaced by any of that. I loved the characters, Snobs is a fantastic dog and his adventures are of epic proportions, the unlikely friendship between Abbie and Marian is so heartwarming and the courage of Abbie to stand against her mother and her "friend" Brooke. I enjoyed a lot and I recommend you go see it!

Enjoyable Aussie drama series

I have watched several episodes of Snobs and found them quite enjoyable.

The story is about a boy from a group of travellers who makes friends with a girl from a wealthy family. Snobs is the name of the boy's pet dog. Each episode sees them getting in all sorts of adventures. A lot of episodes are set in the local school, where the local pupils find it hard to accept the travellers' boy as a class mate. If something goes wrong, he usually gets the blame.

This series is set in Sydney. Channel 5 show this series and is one of the very few TV programmes worth watching on Sunday mornings, when it is normally on.

Hello, I've reviewed the series recently, which I loved as a child :) Can anyone help me with the opening song, in relation to the chords / riffs?

Australian's make great children's' TV

Australians make great children's TV series and Snobs is one of these.

I can see primary school-13 year olds liking this, but I think older high school kids will find the themes and plots a bit repetitive and simplistic.

I love the dog SNOBS -I assume she is a Blue Heeler.

Aust TV is very good at caricatures-and the adults in this are very good.

They even film the children doing schoolwork in the classroom-which is something you do not often seen Aust TV schoolkids doing.

In Blue Water High they are surfing In Saddle Club they are riding horses.

I think I would like the snobs to win occasionally as they do in real life-if not at school then certainly in real life in the suburbs in which they live.

In the Eastern States it is the Eastern Suburrb beaches-in Perth it is the Western Suburbs. It is unaffordable for young families.

Great series that should export well for the scenery and nice feel about it. No Columbine massacre in these schools-just a little bit of horseplay.
