Interestingly relevant, but not that good

A movie about a car that drives without a driver? Well, it doesn't drive by itself, but can be driven using a wireless panel. Close enough. This is pretty much the plot of the movie, with a (typically) contrived love plot thrown on top of it. An inventor has invented the technology for this, while a jealous rival tries to mess it all up.

There are some neat things about this short. The title cards are nice. The scenes where the cars drive around aren't bad. The physical gags are mostly unimpressive, but not bad either. I like the look of the panel used to control the car, very high tech looking. They can not have put much thought into usability, but oh well.

The premise is good enough for a hilarious comedy, but that's not what the film makers achieved. Maybe with more interesting characters and more interesting situations, this could have been an alright movie.
