Juan Gabriel is a Mexican who went to the United States and has to adapt to his new life in a new place where he will have to find the means to succeed by singing in order to pay for his college tuition. At first, he is excited to date this girl who is supposed to be a white person, but soon, he realizes that she was not taking him seriously, so he decides to dump her. After that, he meets another girl who he finds very attractive and the relationship does work out.
