Widow Ambika lives in seas side Kanya Kumari and goes to Nagar coil by bus daily. Writer Shiva Kumar comes to her residence as a tenant to find some inspiration for anew novel. The entire movie is shot in these sea side towns and the locales are pretty. The bus conductor Suresh has a silent crush on Ambika .
She has a sad story of her own. She had married Mohan a few years back It was a love marriage which was short lived. Both Ambika and Shiva Kumar become very close to teach other as days pass .
In the end when he proposes to her , she rejects saying she still loves Mohan . A lot of women's sentiments like Mangalyam , Bindi etc are added to draw in women audiences . Nalini comes in a small role as an anxious mother of a child patient who calls Mohan to come and rescue her child . Over alla fine movie with nice songs . Ambika is a true beauty and wears nice sarees to show her traditional role .
