Masterpiece of cultural Karnataka...
cheti-kr29 November 2011
Siddalingaiah has given so many wonderful gems to Kannada film industry and true living legend. We may as well know that Dr Rajkumar is an un-disputable legend who ruled the industry for half a decade and he is still ruling in our heart's. Let me just start by saying this the Rajeev's character in the movie is strike on match to rajanna . Story is simple but presented very effectively and with very much essence of our culture. you can see the camera position and the huge budget for songs and the sets they came up with everything is just right on from beginning to end. After watching the movie like zillion times each and every time I watch,i am very much moved by balanna's character, in my opinion the true hero of this movie is balakrishna. You can see in each every frame and in every dialogue his majesties true excellence. He is by far the best in the movie his character has a lot more to offer than the Rajeev's character. I'm not going discuss the story you have to enjoy all by yourself and the songs geezz one of the true classic composition by the master . If you don't know Kannada, if you don't now Rajkumar, watch it you may end up being a die hard fan like the rest of us. THIS MOVIE IS DEDICATED TO THE FORMERS. Im going with 8/10 for siddalingaiah's bangarda manushya , this movie got lot more to offer than you can ever imagine .

Bangaarada Manushya: The Greatest Masterpiece
VashiBhat26 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Bangaarada Manushya is an Evergreen Masterpiece, and easily the best movie I have ever seen, and my all-time favourite. Dr. Rajkumar's performance was outstanding, and he has brought life to the character of Rajeeva and gave his career - best performance. T. N. Balakrishna has managed to do the same while bringing life into the character of Rachutappa. All the other actors were outstanding in their given roles.

The narration technique used by Siddalingaiah is top-notch, and the screenplay which was written by Siddalingaiah is pretty impressive. The songs were outstanding and all of them are on my favourites list, especially the song, Nagunagutha Nali, which was written by Honsur Krishnamurthy is my all-time favourite song. The dialogues written by Honsur Krishnamurthy were fabulous. Background music from G. K. Venkatesh was excellent as usual. The cinematography from D. V. Rajaram was also fabulous. The comedy scenes were outstanding in fact each and every scene in the movie is outstanding, and the couple of fights involving Dr. Rajkumar and M. P. Shankar were pretty great. Fights and Stunts were composed by Y. Shivayya who has done an excellent job.

Bangaarada Manushya is a modern day Bhagavad Gita as there are philosophical solutions to problems that man faces for instance in one dialogue Dr. Rajkumar says to Bharathi about the importance of duty over desire. The song Nagunagutha Nali teaches about being happy always. Both philosophically and scientifically staying happy creates positive vibrations around you! The song Aagadhu Yendu teaches the importance of never giving up. We should work hard and find satisfaction in it is also the message conveyed to the audience.

Bangaarada Manushya also has economical solutions to problems people face today. Work-life Balance in India is comparatively low, which will eventually lead to a higher stress among people. Such people can go back to villages and start farming like Dr. Rajkumar did it in the film. So Bangaarada Manushya does not apply just to farmers, it is a Universal Content. In this film, Dr. Rajkumar buys a huge piece of land with Cooperative Farming scheme where he brought new land at a lesser cost with the help of taking a loan from T. N. Balakrishna effectively using economies of scale to earn a higher income. These are the reasons why Bangaarada Manushya is my favourite movie of all-time! I have totally lost count of the number of times I have seen this epic masterpiece classic film.

A Reverent Ode to Bangaarada Manushya: A Timeless Masterpiece
Vashista-Bhat4 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
In my personal view, "Bangaarada Manushya" transcends the boundaries of cinema and emerges as a soul-stirring masterpiece that has left an indelible mark on my heart and mind. It is my favourite movie of All-Time! From the very moment the film started (After the title card showing the cast and crew) with the song 'Nagunagutha Nali', which is my favourite song of all-time. I found myself entranced, pulled into a narrative that seamlessly blended the essence of human existence with profound philosophical wisdom.

At the heart of this cinematic marvel stands the unparalleled talent of Dr. Rajkumar, whose portrayal of Rajeeva breathed life into the character in a way that felt almost transcendent. His performance set a standard in acting that, in my eyes, remains unmatched. Every nuance of emotion, every gesture, every facial expression, spoke volumes, weaving a tale of selflessness and duty that resonated deeply within me. T. N. Balakrishna's portrayal as Rachutappa and Vajramuni's portrayal as an antagonist were spectacular. Actually the entire cast have delivered exceptional performances, adding magic and charm to the storyline.

The brilliance of the script, based on T. K. Rama Rao's novel of the same name, is undeniable. It captured my attention from the title card itself, and after the title card was the first scene which begins with the song 'Nagunagutha Nali' and my attention was held until the climax, illustrating the richness of the narrative, pacing, and the storytelling. I felt the flow of events to be continuous, and not even one scene was out of place, demonstrating a marvelous screenplay. Siddalingaiah's direction was masterful, capturing the essence of the narrative with visionary finesse. The music, especially the unforgettable songs and background score by G. K. Venkatesh, was so excellent that it heightened every emotion, making the film an auditory delight. There was an excellency in which the dialogues, written by Hunsuru Krishnamurthy, added depth to the narrative, making each and every character memorable for me.

What struck me profoundly were the philosophical themes interwoven throughout the movie. The symbolism of Rajeeva walking into the sunset, signifying the impermanence of life and the importance of surrendering to Lord Vishnu, who is the supreme god for me, left me contemplative. The unselfish nature of Rajeeva's character touched a chord within me, making me reflect on the depth of human goodness.

Furthermore, the film's exploration of advanced concepts, such as the relationship between village development and national progress, showcased a forward-thinking perspective that resonated deeply with my own beliefs. It elevated the film from a timeless classic to a thought-provoking piece of art, stimulating my mind while simultaneously entertaining my senses.

For me, "Bangaarada Manushya" is not just a movie; it's an experience. A timeless gem that educates, inspires, and entertains in equal measure. Its multidimensional storytelling, exceptional performances, captivating narration, insightful philosophy, and advanced societal perspectives have left an everlasting impression on me. For those reasons and more, I wholeheartedly join the unanimous chorus of praise, rating it a perfect 10 out of 10 and declaring it a cinematic masterpiece of the highest order.

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Verdict: Masterpiece.
