Stars including Ricky Martin, Usher and Leann Rimes have sent their condolences following the death of boxing legend Joe Frazier on Monday night.
The former heavyweight champion, nicknamed Smokin' Joe, was recently revealed to be battling liver cancer and he lost his fight with the disease this week (beg07Nov11) at the age of 67.
Frazier's death has sparked an outpouring of grief in the celebrity world, with his former opponent George Forman among the first to pay tribute to the late sportsman.
He writes in a post on his Twitter.com page, "Good night Joe Frazier. I love you dear friend."
Stars of the music world also flooded the social networking website with messages about the boxing great, with Usher writing, "Joe Frazier Boxing Legend Forever. What he did in this lifetime will last forever. He will live on though (sic) those who follow his greatness!!"
Ricky Martin simply stated, "Rip Joe Frazier," and Nick Cannon wrote, "Rip heavyweight champ Smokin' Joe Frazier - 67 years old," while LeAnn Rimes reached out to the late star's relatives, adding, "R.I.P.
