I always did love animation, and while none of huge favourites of mine I do have a soft spot for most of Burbank Animation Studios output. Frank Enstein is not one of their best efforts, like Count of Monte Cristo and White Fang, but it is worth watching and is quite good. Of course there are moments of corniness in the dialogue, with some stiff character designs and some parts of the otherwise fun story do feel padded out. However, the colours are quite vibrant and the backgrounds while not quite my definition of smooth have a certain charm to them. The music is rousing, the dialogue does have moments where it is snappy and the characters at least engage and apart from some blandness here and there decently voiced. Overall, not great but still good enough. 7/10 Bethany Cox
