An endearing and witty family drama
SumanShakya2 October 2020
Perhaps one of the unknown and forgotten masterpieces of Hindi cinema, the film is worthwhile for several reasons. First and foremost, the film entertains without any cliches, villains, or other gimmicks, giving a spontaneous flow throughout. The film very pertinently questions the social prejudice on accepting a child out of extra marital relationship. Whether the setting, songs, or the amusing role of the child, there is much to admire; and last not to mention, a stupendous role of Kishore Kumar blending his comedy, emotions, or the hilarious songs make it a complete and endearing drama, impossible not to like.
