With their latest documentary, Rolling Stone: Stories From the Edge, directors Alex Gibney and Blair Foster stitch together old performance footage, recordings from interviews with artists (Ice-t) and Presidents (Bill Clinton), and readings from some of the magazine's most important stories, with the likes of Johnny Depp subbing in for Hunter S. Thompson. Instead of following the magazine's activities year by year, the narrative is dictated by big stories: The film jumps from one big scoop to the next, skipping from Hunter S. Thompson on George McGovern in 1972 to an...

London, Apr 11: Two rare vintage photographs of John Lennon and Yoko Ono posing naked have emerged for sale after they were discovered in a loft.
The images were used on the couple's 1968 album 'Unfinished Music No 1: Two Virgins', and were taken by them on a self-timer.
The photos are wider than the one used on the 'LP' cover and show more clutter around the couple's feet.
The pictures have been put up for sale by a private owner who found them in the loft at the home of his late mother. He was stunned by the discovery and has no idea how she.

London, Aug 23 – Late English singer-songwriter John Lennon’s toilet will be among Beatles memorabilia to be auctioned next week.
The toilet may rake in a whopping 750 pounds to 1,000 pounds.
The auction will also include a rare mono copy of ‘Two Virgins’- an album Lennon recorded with wife Yoko Ono – that is expected to fetch at least 2,500 pounds.
The auction is also inviting bids for Lennon’s toilet from Tittenhurst Park, his Berkshire home between 1969 and 1972.
Lennon had asked builder John Hancock to keep the porcelain lavatory and “use it as a plant pot”.

Paul McCartney says many films about The Beatles are "not true". The legendary musician, who was joined in the band by Ringo Starr, and the late John Lennon and George Harrison, insists many pieces about the Fab Four are inaccurate and misleading to fans.
"It's a great tribute that whatever we did is so lasting and people can still make films about The Beatles which can still be successful," Paul said when speaking about two dramas, "Nowhere Boy" and "Lennon Naked". "For me, though, they're not true and that's the unfortunate thing about them."
"John never punched me out like he does in 'Nowhere Boy', but my character is kind of cool in the film so I don't mind being punched out. I told the film director Sam [Taylor-Wood] all of that but she said, 'Yeah. But Paul, it's just a film.' "
Another rumor Paul has quashed is...

… but the Shallow Grave actor is considering a move into comedy after primal scream soul-baring of Lennon Naked
Back in 1994, when Christopher Eccleston was playing a psychotic chartered accountant in Shallow Grave, he spent the best part of a day in a working mortuary pretending to be dead. There wasn't enough money to recreate the mortuary in a studio and, anyway, director Danny Boyle wanted to keep it real. So Eccleston, then 30 and best known for playing Derek Bentley in Let Him Have It three years earlier, was put in a drawer with a Glaswegian member of the crew.
"I was stark bollock naked and the Glaswegian, who was dressed in a parka, Doc Martens and jeans, kept saying, 'Are we finished? 'Cos I'm fucking freezing, by the way.' And all this time, I'm lying not only naked but next to a head that had recently been fished out of the River Clyde.
