A good serving of TV fare

Thoroughy enjoyed the series. Was well worth the two evenings I spent watching as it aired on TV. Not expecting much from TV miniseries I was comfortably surprised at he pace of the piece as well as the performances of most of the actors. Olmos and Braga were very real and believable in their roles. As was Noth and Davidovitch. I think they made a mistake when they wrote Davidovitch out of the direct plot so early in the series.Peter MacNeil was menacing throughout and made you feel uncomfortable every time he appeared on screen. Overall well worth spending the time on. A plausible plot moving at a good pace with all characters playing well within the parts scripted for them.

This movie is about as good as a court scene movie can be. Chris Noth, while up to now has not had winning shows, in this Hallmark showing he does a very convincing job as the lead defense lawyer, and acts with force and fine precision. The movie is long, 3½ hours, and without complaint, it had me on the edge, without a clue as to how events would work out. Lolita Davidovich does a fine job, too bad we didn't see a bit more of her, and Charles Durning is his usual forceful self. Edward Olmos, as the accused, played the role of a complex, believable judge. All of the players, fit their roles very well. This is a sleeper with future potential. Basil

So many great actors

Warning: Spoilers
I ran across this on the Roku Channel and I love anything with Chris Noth.

Judge trying to call to light corrupt cops and higher ups gets framed. He seeks out a lawyer that he has held in contempt of court. Between a fired ADA, and two lawyers and an old police detective they bring justice to the case.

It was a good mini-series. Gave it an 8 because of the actors.

A Disappointment

When I saw this movie on NBC a few months ago I though with its great cast including Chris Noth, Edward James Olmos, and Lolita Davidovich it would be a decent made - for - tv movie. It wasn't. Noth was phoning it in, Olmos was far to sullen and Davidovich was under used. The story had a disjointed feel and it started to drag in the first hour of the 4hour story. Not worth the effort of watching.
