Very good, but sad.

I just started watching this series, it's very very good, but very sad. It's about a group of mentally handicapped boys and girls living and working at a factory, which happens to be run by evil physically abusive goons. Their music teacher is very loving and supportive of the group. All the children have been abandoned by their families and are trying to make their own in a cruel world. The series is short but still powerful. I found myself in tears more than once for a few episodes. A warning: the series is Japanese and definitely shows a really dark side that a lot of countries won't show on television, including rape and beating scenes of handicapped people. If given the chance, definitely see an episode. Japanese or not, the message will translate to all.
