A very lengthy film for a small plot
OnjiMooteDaMarle8 April 2021
The film has badly written screenplay. I understand that in the 50's (even now), songs were kind of the backbone for a film but more songs than the plot is very irritating. The same director has made the film in Tamil and Telugu too. The film being the story of Markandeya should have emphasized on the Maha Mrtyunjaya Mantra also. The film ends when he gets the darshan of Shiva. The film also deviates from the plot to show some 'comical' bits by the great Narasimha Raju but his story is completely irrelevant to Markandeya's story. The film could have been a short film of 20 minutes.
