Rakesh Roshan is the man who is the creator of Krrish franchise and has delivered entertainers like Karan Arjun, Khoon Bhari Maang and Khudgarz amongst others.
Sanjay Gupta is the man who has been one of the most tech savvy filmmakers around and knows his men, as apparent in macho entertainers like Kaante, Zinda, Musafir and Shootout franchises.
No wonder, when the two decided to join hands for Kaabil with Hrithik Roshan in the lead, it was pretty much on the cards that the film would bring in the right mix of emotions, style and performances.
“I have been a huge fan of Sanjay and have been interacting with him for last two-three years. He used to discuss quite a few subjects with me and I was looking forward to work with him since he is superb when it comes to technically mounting a film,” says Rakesh Roshan, “When he...

Hansal Mehta is all set to collaborate with the international bestselling author Jeffrey Archer over a film adaptation of the 1979 bestseller Kane & Abel. He has also finalized his favourite actor Rajkummar Yadav to play one of the protagonists. Interestingly, Hansal has earlier adapted Kane & Abel to television. Recounts the Shahid director, "I had done Kane & Abel for Zee TV in 1999. It was called 'Lakshya' and it starred Kay Kay Menon and Pramod Moutho as the two protagonists. It was a kind of game-changer on Indian television. But we were given the wrong telecast timing and the series never took off." Hansal has been desirous of taking the story to a larger screen and audience ever since Lakshya couldn't get the audience it deserved. Recently, Imtiaz Ali had converted his tele-film Highway (starring Aditya Shrivastava and Kartika Rane) into a feature film featuring Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt. Alas,...

With Krrish 3 scoring stunningly high during the weekdays and creating one record after another, a double century is now a cakewalk. In fact now the next huge target is for the film to cross the 225 crore milestone of Chennai Express which seems in sight, considering over 165 crore that the film has already netted in Week One.
These are indeed marvelous results for a film and especially its genre which was always a risk to begin with. Moreover, Rakesh Roshan has further re-established his supremacy as the only filmmaker from the 80s who has continued to change with times while keeping Indian emotions intact. With Krrish 3, he can pretty much wear the crown of ‘Showman’ on his head and the only filmmaker to have managed such terrific record critically as well as commercially. For someone who started his career as a director with Khudgarz (1987) 26 years ago, he has evolved over decades,...

2011 was a year filled with good music and many outstanding song picturizations. In this top fifteen we will acknowledge all the choreographers, art directors, cinematographers, performers and many more who have worked very hard to entertain us.
15. ‘Aap Ke Aa Jaane Se’ – Love Breakups Zindagi
This song is not on the soundtrack of Love Breakups Zindagi. It is actually a renewed version of the same song from the movie Khudgarz from 1987. The song comes at a point in the film when the whole family is together and the youngsters in the family perform to a song in order to entertain the guests. And what better song to perform to on a wedding than ‘Aap Ke Aa Jaane Se’. A huge, disco style stage is set up with lights and all. The choreography is a bit old school and brings back memories of the late 80s and 90s, which is quite...
