The funniest film I saw at Sundance
sebastian_valmont12 March 2000
I got to catch this short at Sundance this year and it is hilarious. The animation is wild and the dialogue had the whole audience choking and laughing.

It's kind of offensive and shocking, but that made it even funnier. A must see for everyone gay straight whatever.

Simply a riot! How gay and fun
eroka19 February 2001
By now there are at least 3 Rick and Steve shorties. I saw them and simply laughed like a mad man. Very very funny. The first one was "Rick & Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in All the World". It was a hilarious visit of two lesbians at Rick & Steve's for dinner. One of the girls want to have their sperm... The second was "Rick and Steve, Episode 2: Scary Straight People" in which Steve's parents come for a visit in which they will learn a thing or two about their son. The third was "Rick & Steve: Episode 3, Potty Mouth Training" about the guys contemplating a threesome and the girlz having someone else's baby to try how it is to be mothers. Simply amazing fun, with the visual style of South Park in Legoland. Everything is made out of Lego (except the sperm, I assume). You will need a broadband to watch it in full screen, but it's worth the trouble.

Laughtacular!
His Girl Friday5 February 2002
I laughed, I cried, I wished there were more episodes of Rick and Steve. Episode three packs the most comedic punch, but well-defined characters, snappy dialogue and near-perfect timing make all the installments laugh-out-loud hilarious. Caution: not for the PC nor weak of heart. But if you're all PC or weak of heart, perhaps you should be watching some Ron Howard movie.

Sick, crude, rude...and uproarious
preppy-320 June 2001
I saw episodes 3 and 4 of this in a festival of gay shorts and it was hilarious! Basically it's about Rick and Steve and their severely dysfunctional friends. This film insults everybody--lesbians, gays, straights, people with AIDS etc etc. Very sick but I just couldn't stop laughing! At times, people were laughing so hard the dialogue was drowned out! A must see--but only if you can handle strong humor.

So funny! I had to have sex!
SchlongLord3 May 2004
My girlfriend had a copy of all of the episodes of Rick & Steve the Happiest Gay Couple in All the World on VHS. We watched it the other night and OMG, it was the funny. Rick and Steve are a gay couple, and the episodes go through several minor characters. It is an equal opportunity insult fest. The gay meth tweaker. The AIDS guy with young gay boys around him (for his life insurance. The lesbians that want a baby. The parents who come to visit and wonder why their is only one bed. Every gay stereotype is just torn to shreds the way only animation can get away with.

It was so funny that my girl and i had to have sex afterwards to get it off our minds and stop giggling!
