Just discovered Bela Vadja's Moto perpetuo on the Cartoon Brew site
tavm5 May 2012
Just watched this animated short on the Cartoon Brew site. It's animated by Bela Vadja from Hungary. In it, a man looks at an elevator which has two images running opposite each other either up-down, or vice versa. It's accompanied by a violin score with some changes to other types of music such as when a dog listens to a gramophone, The Singing Dogs' (actual barking sounds) "Jingle Bells" is playing or when The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" plays, we see drawn images of The Fab Four (not to mention an actual photo of John Lennon with a bullseye on his face since this short was made after his assassination). I found many of the images amusing though also plenty strange. So on that note, Moto perpetuo (or Perpetual Motion) is at the least worth a look.
