Bold documentary uncovers a future star.
SanDiego21 March 2000
Jeff Gillooly's autobiographical account of his 1990 wedding night with wife Tonya Harding. Gilloohly capture's the chilling chemistry between the couple who plotted to injure Olympic skater Nancy Kerrigan. Much like Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway in "Bonnie and Clyde," the chillingness of their crimes is juxtaposed with the heat of their sexuality. Gillooly's directorial style is free flowing, letting his co-star improvise. He understands the camera is a voyeur and sets the film in a small claustrophobic room. Most directors might have shown the room dark and awash in shadow to symbolize the dark lives of the two lovers. The genius of Gilloohly is that he awashes the room in bright light, letting the couple's creamy white bodies gleam in an almost heavenly glow. This is not the story of their sordid criminal activities, this is the story of their love and their love making. 5'-1" Tonya Harding clothed reminds me of an angry Sally Field, a tiny bulldog, strong, barking, and scary if not chained. But as Tonya strips for the camera, we see she is vulnerable, coy, cute, and fun loving. This is not an empty headed sex kitten, this is a complex woman willing to show us her feelings as well as her body. Gilloohy pushes the envelope in his first documentary featurette by showing us full frontal nudity of both Tonya and himself. This bold move is so truthful we really feel for the ill-fated couple. And Tonya Harding is cute. Nude, she looks a bit like Sally Field in her nude scenes in "Stay Hungry" and perhaps she will have a career someday to match.

This is strictly for idiots who are obsessed with Tonya's bad girl image!

Tonya Harding fans need not apply and I'm one of em. I've seen bits and peices of this. And trust me, like all the other Voyer crap it totally hurts the person it's being shot at. Trust me Jeff is an a**hole. Like a true saint, he bothered to show this to the world. So of course he changed his name. But hey, this guys push others around. Why not his former wife. If your one of those people, but all means. Satisfy your sins. But imagine, it's just like raping someone in your mind. Enjoy. :(

This is a true work of art! Featuring our lovely American sweetheart Tonya Harding! She is a slice of true Americana! For all you haters out there, just remember that her and her ex husband were paid very well for this to be released by Penthouse to the tune of over $200,000 a piece plus royalties. So sit back and enjoy because they sure want you to! It's a classic that's for sure! 😃 This little treasure stars Tonya Harding and her ex-husband Jeff now known as Jeff Stone in a 30 plus minute romp, Tonya knocks you out with her beautiful wedding dress and sexy little voice. While Jeff adds little to be desired but that's to be expected. Nobody is here for him, am I right?

A Good Career Tanya Should Fall Back On, Again.

It was a surprise blip in the genre of amateur porn but very much rescinded from popular viewing in relation to all the handful of tabloid celebrity sex flicks (Tommy & Pam, Vinny & Janine, John Wayne Bobbitt, Paris Hilton). Unlike Danza or Stallone in their earliest and even far less seen appearances, Tonya Harding's 1994 foray into homemade camcorder copulation fulfilled a curiosity for Celebrity Sleuth/Celebrity Skin enthusiasts. Now we know what sex with her would be like.

Although the first and last few minutes are filmed hand-held while the rest is filmed on tripod, Tonya and Jeff definitely reviewed similar films beforehand to perform as they did, assuring the viewer that they knew what was desired to be seen.

The whole film is a half hour porn flick styled in the manner that would arise from any one of us with the film equipment made available to the masses at the time. Of course, you'd need a trophy date of the level of fame and ferocity like that of Tonya Harding to qualify for a critique like mine.
