Very funny 70's porn comedy
Woodyanders13 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Studs Ric (hunky Ric Lutz) and John (the legendary John Holmes sporting his trademark curly afro) engage in a lusty competition held by an adult organization dedicated to carnal pleasure in which they both have to bed an assortment of gals throughout the course of a single evening. The guy who finishes first wins the contest. Director/co-writer Alan Colberg keeps the hugely enjoyable story moving along at a brisk pace, maintains an infectiously zany screwball tone throughout, and milks the blithely raunchy humor for plenty of solid belly laughs. The sex scenes are quite hot and vigorous: Lutz's scorching interracial coupling with luscious black stunner Desiree West burns up the screen; ditto the set piece with Holmes being tag teamed by two foxy babes. Moreover, it's acted with tremendous zest by an enthusiastic cast, with especially robust contributions from Patrick Wright as hearty master of ceremonies Jack Denning, Esther Williams as the spunky club president, George "Buck" Flower as miserable buzz crusher Painin Theass, Tallie Cochrane as the blubbery Laura Fisher, and Brenda Fogarty as the bawdy Sally Camille. Roberto Verano's sprightly score and the groovy theme song hit the get-down funky-throbbing spot. Franklin DeCeco's bright cinematography provides an attractive sunny look. A real hoot.

Sniggering and obvious

Back in the theatrical era of Adult Cinema, this feature was merely a silly effort at comedy, apparently succeeding in the long run as previous IMDb poster called it "very funny". Believe me, it ain't.

Several mainstream (if specialized in B movies) performers help out, including Buck Flower as a heckler and Patrick Wright as the talkative emcee, for an awards banquet celebrating sex. It's held by an organization called Home & Hearth Society, and the movie mocks without relief the standard pompous and self-serving awards show one associates with the Oscars or Golden Globes.

Key element is a Mascot award, for which superstar studs John Holmes and Ric Lutze compete. They must go "all night long" to a series of homes to service designated ladies, and the first one to complete his assignment and make it back to the awards dais is the winner.

Tedious is the best description of the banquet footage and the unerotic generic sex scenes our boys have with the likes of Desiree West and Yuriko (for interracial sex inclusion). The banquet attendees watch the sex on TV (CCTV apparently), and have an uninteresting orgy of their own.

It's lousy as porn and as a movie, easy to suffer through on an Alpha Blue Archives 3-fer under West's name, but likely interminable back in the day when consumed trapped in a movie theater.
