Psychedelic Spring Break!
ronkleim3 August 2006
Spring break in 1968! Drunken kids fool around in Daytona Beach and a few bands become momentarily coherent enough to lip-sync to their tunes. Very odd, low-tech psych. touches. Strange indeed. With clips from Grand Funk, the Tams, Billy Joe Royal and the Swinging Medallions. A disjointed, pseudo- documentary, low budget film, oddly combining partying middle class white kids with freak - out hippie hard rock. A good film for collectors of hard to find rock and roll performance clips but not recommended as a "feature film". Spring break in 1968!
