As a son of Sicily myself, I must confess it was painful to sit through this brief, but depressing documentary look at the Mafia's influence on Sicily circa 1965. UCLA recently ran the film and the introduction by Italian scholar Guido Fink stated that it was an aborted feature length film by the director. This would account for the scattershot approach - and for the film's often fine cinematography. Worth a look as a historical document of the time.
