Ron Sullivan aka Henri Pachard works wonders with the unpromising material of "The Butt Boss", on paper an assembly-line video meant to exploit the mixed-combo plus anal sex fascination then and now (See current purveyors blacked.com & tushy.com). While today's market is flooded with tedious black on white sex footage, Ron manages to make it interesting.
Title pimp is played rather well by Ron Hightower. He rules the gals in his stable, both white and Black girls, and his turf adversary is another pimp Billy, broadly played by Field Marshal Bradley in a style which evidently had a profound effect on current mainstream star Samuel L. Jackson. Not to accuse Sam of stealing the Marshal's act but truth will out.
The loosely told story is brought to life through vivid performances, notably by Debi Diamond, who throws herself into her role of a whore with utter conviction. I especially enjoyed the fact that scenes are kept interesting rather than just setting up explicit sex, hearkening back to the '60s when soft-core porn was about more than just sex. Dramaturgy is not Chekhov calibre but plays perfectly well, and gets off the screen in a mere 67 minutes.
