Pataal Bhairavi review
sauravjoshi8524 June 2023
Pataal Bhairavi is a romantic action fantasy film directed by K. Bapayya. The film stars Jeetendra, Jaya Prada, late Pran, late Amjad Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Asrani, Bindu, late Nirupa Roy and late Kader Khan.

When Ramu is challenged by Indumati's father to garner wealth in order to marry her, he seeks help from and evil Mantrik with hidden agenda. Soon, Indumati gets kidnapped by the Mantrik and Ramu sets out to rescue her.

This is another typical 80s masala film but on the background of some mythology. The film with an impressive star cast will fail to impress primarily due to it's stereotypical execution.

The plot of the film is average and execution is also average, acting is decent and screenplay of the film is also average, the songs of the film is decent and climax is predictable. Skahti Kapoor, Amjad Khan and Kader Khan were impressive. Can be watched once. Kids will love this film.

The Ramayan Retold -

Warning: Spoilers
This mythological/fantasy film is based on the great story of the Ramayam. The story begins with Ramu who falls in love with the Rajkumari from Ujjain Indumati. Furthermore, the both of them want to get married but of course we have the peasant marrying the princess issue arising and Ramu seeks the help of Mantrik to grant him luxuries. Ramu eventually discovers that Mantriks intentions are not well so Ramu pleases the Pataal Bhairavi goddess and she grants him his luxuries. The story takes another turn and we have the Evil mantrik kidnapping the rajkumari and off course Ramu and Hamuman team up to rescue her. The main reason I am giving this movie 8/10 is for the fact that Jayaprada looks great in all dance sequences.
