A dangerous prison escaper, a young Jutland woman and a bank clerk, who has just deprived his employer of some cash and is now headed abroad, meet on a lyntog (literally "lightning train") from Arhus to Copenhagen. The prison escaper tries to deprive the bank clerk of what he's carrying. The acting is pretty unconvincing but is typical of the era. What makes the film interesting are the scenes of mid 20th century forms of transport. Apart from the many scenes of the lyntog (a multi-part diesel railcar set) there are cars, trams in Arhus (when did they disappear?), a rural bus, a Scandinavian Airlines DC3 both outside and in, and a roll-on, roll-off ferry (here the "Dronning Ingrid") which trains crossing the Storbelt (Great Belt) between the islands of Fyn and Zealand had to use up until 1997 when a major bridge was completed. The video cassette version I watched ran for 72 minutes, not the 87 stated.
