Irresistibly evil

Celeste is terrific in a juicy role as a boss from hell in this effective drama. Nearly three decades later it has surprising relevance as a switcheroo on the serious issue of sexual harassment.

A truly all-star cast is in support, as she's upwardly mobile Brad Armstrong's new boss, getting a position he expected to take as a promotion, but which his retiring company owner Hank Armstrong has chosen instead of him.

She is utterly gorgeous, but an ultra-dominant personality, who immediately starts pushing him around, making him constantly work late, and insisting on sex from Brad on demand -or else he'll lose his job. Carrot offered is a promotion after all.

Interesting casting has Jenna Jameson, ordinarily expected to be the center of attention (for obvious reasons) but here convincingly mousy as Brad's loyal, supportive wife. Not only is Celeste forcing Brad to cheat on her, but later she rather cruelly seduces JJ for her own satisfaction.

It is a familiar story but with the gender role-reversal has added interest. It's lots of fun rooting against Celeste yet fascinated with her allure - a true femme fatale.

Embarrassment of riches has Anna Malle as boss Hank's girlfriend, plus Rebeccca Bardoux & Melissa Hill as servants for Celeste who get to bed down with another of her unlucky employees, Alex Sanders.
