Boomers will recall this movie as it was shown in nine ten-minute episodes titled "The Boys of the Western Sea" on the original Mickey Mouse Club Show (MMC) between the dates of April 15 – 25, 1957. Disney dubbed the episodes into English and employed the voice talents of several of the well-known Mouseketeers including Cheryl Holdridge, Tommy Kirk, Bobby Burgess, Kevin "Moochie" Corcoran, David "Marty" Stollery, and Tommy Cole. Richard Beymer, Paul Frees, and Parley Baer also contributed their voice talents.
I give it a "seven-out-of-ten" rating as I can dimly recall the series (Spin & Marty and the Hardy Boys serials were more to the liking of my seven-years old tastes), but what the heck - it WAS on the MMC!!!
