Surprisingly Entertaining!
email-21419 November 2006
I was surprised that I found myself watching this entire movie. I expected utter nonsense, which I did get sometimes, but it was entertaining nonetheless. Perfect for an easy afternoon movie.

Basically, it is a modern takeoff of the old Bonnie and Clyde movie. This time around it's teenagers, and Bonnie's Dad is Chief of Police. Cliché, yes. But the actors do a great job. You find yourself routing for these two to make it, and I won't say whether or not this time around the ending was changed. I will say this movie had a totally different feel than its predecessor.

All in all, worth a look. Don't expect an Oscar-winning film, and you won't be disappointed.

Bonnie and Clyde
BandSAboutMovies15 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What if Bonnie and Clyde were alive in 1993 and pulled the same crimes? Well, this movie has that for you and it has Maureen Flannigan as Bonnie and Scott Wolf as Clyde.

Directed by John Shepphird (Firestorm, Jersey Shore Shark Attack), who co-wrote the script with Steve Jankowski, who wrote several of Shepphird's movies like Chupacabra Terror, Blood Money and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus.

Wolf was best known for being on Party of Five while Flannagan was Evie on Out of This World. This movie was her attempt at changing her image, which mainly means lots of violence and even more sex. It's kind of wild that this movie got out there a year before Natural Born Killers and does a lot of the same things without all the meta commentary and multiple film stocks.

The true revelation for me was that the cop who is tracking them down, Sanchez, is Don Novello. Yes, Father Guido Sarducci. He's great in this and he's completely serious.

The other thing is that this goes from Clyde being in love from afar to a romance on the run to an actual relationship, yet the darkness that grows around them gets intense, as we all know where the movie ends. And yes, the close is bleak and bloody and it's unexpected even though it's expected. I mean, the squib budget for this film must have been the entire budget.

a lot better than title would indicate

With a title like Teenage Bonnie and Klepto Clyde you wouldn't expect a great movie and while its not a great movie its a lot better than one would expect. Its a suprisingly exciting tale about two teens who decide to escape their boredom by committing crimes. The acting is good and the action keeps you interested. Definitely worth a look! 5 out of 10

Brainless Bonnie & Clueless Clyde
actionfilm-217 April 2011
Warning: Spoilers
A pair of bored but demented teens engage in a crime spree that goes from shoplifting cassettes (it's a media format sonny) to robbing banks and gunning down cops. After each crime they engage in lovemaking, and this becomes the routine, committing crime followed by sex, throw in a few shootouts and you have a film, well something resembling one. A story like this requires the audience to relate to or sympathize with the main characters, who here are portrayed in a nauseatingly romantic fashion. It does not take a model citizen to develop the desire to see these two carjacking, bank robbing, teenage cop killers get caught in a hailstorm of bullets, unfortunately this comes far too late in the film. While B films are among cinema's greatest entertainment, this film is sadly quite average.

Movie Is Not That Great, But Maureen Flannigan's Breasts Are!
sakvacman28 March 2009
Warning: Spoilers
The movie itself does not have any substance. Maureen Flannigan (Evie from the TV show Out of This World) is great because there are several topless scenes showing off her young breasts. The movie is about teenage lovers who decide to start a life of crime. It is your typical teenage 'buddy' movie with Bonnie and Clyde. The movie starts out slow and continues this way throughout the film. I don't know if Maureen ever made another film after this, I don't know if she was embarrassed by this movie or what. I liked Maureen and after this movie, I wanted to see more of her in future films, both her acting and her breasts. Teenage Bonnie and Klepto Cylde is the kind of film you might watch with a bunch of your buddies, a bowl of nachos, and a whole lot of beers. I watch this movie as one of my guilty pleasures, along with a Dana Plato movie called, Different Strokes (A Story of Jack and Jill and Jill.)

Some Girls Can Get a Guy Into Trouble
Jakemcclake23 June 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Spoiler Alert

This is an unusual love story built around some strange psycho-sexual concepts. Bonnie, played by the very pretty, sweet looking Maureen Flannigan gets Clyde played by Scott Wolf into a life of crime. Bonny is happiest when terrifying people with her gun. She gets sexual thrills out of armed robbery. She seduces Clyde into this lifestyle. He has a penchant for stealing to begin with. This is what attracts her to him.

They set off on a crime spree. Every time they succeed, Bonny acts like she is in ecstasy. At one point she aims her gun at some poor guy with the most excited, gleeful look on her face and gets him to give up his car to her and Clyde. As a result of her success, she's gets even more excited, letting out little screams of ecstasy and you can guess what her and Clyde did at this point. It's what they did after every robbery. This is one nasty beauty, a REAL BAD GIRL.

The rest is sort of the B movie, with little purpose. They try to build her character by indicating Bonnie is trying to get away from an overbearing father, so it is suggested he may be somehow slightly to blame for Bonnie's ways.

If you like nasty B movies beauties you'll love this Bonnie. Of course some of us want to live in a world where we don't run into this type of woman/girl. This type of woman/girl can really depress you. The story can also do the same.

too stupid
sturmpanther442 May 2007
I watched the movie the other day, when I was really bored and zapped remote control without great interest what is going on on the screen. I was tired even of zapping and by chance I stopped on TBAKC, missing first 10-15 minutes. When I saw "Bonnie" (M. Flannigan), I thought, OK, let's see what will happen here. After first 10 minutes I asked myself should I vomit, kill myself or just change the TV channel, but unfortunately I opted to see it till the end, just to see how stupid some movies can be. A warning should be aired at the beginning of the movie for the persons affected by depression, stress or some other, even light form of psychological disturb. Everything in this movie is simply stupid. It seems some kind of low budget movie, but this is not enough to explain bad acting, actions without logics and brainless plot. The movie deserves 2 mark only thanks to Miss Flannigan's boobies and her than and now adorable smile. For all the rest..... just avoid it.

A movie still fun to watch after the 50th time
Cosmic-1023 March 1999
This movie seems to be a low budget production, but its elements are reused in successful movies afterwards. TB&CK is a mix out of Natural Born Killers, Pulp Fiction and a Pretty Woman Touch. But the plot the movie emphasis is the change of two people searching for their destiny with the possibilities the way of life America offers: weapons, crime, sex sentimental moments are going under. You must watch the movie with popcorn and coke (alcohol is better) and enjoy the story and the funny situations Don't wait for more....I watched the movie more than 50-times

A Great Film 9 out of 10
greg_kennett16 December 2002
Scott Wolf and Maureen Flannigan star in this hilarious action packed adventure as Bonnie and Clyde. Set as a modern day story Bonnie(Flannigan) and Clyde(Wolf) are just you average teenage high school students. A film full of laughs and a sad ending "TEENAGE BONNIE AND KLEPTO CLYDE" is a great movie to watch over and over again. 9 out of 10
