Sex & Nudity

  • Boy is sexually assaulted by a catholic priest you can see pelvic thrusting and part of penis it's bad and atrocious.
  • most of the sex on the show is implied, sometimes with alot of detail. Sex scenes have also been seen to take place in bed. This also includes sexual violence and rape. The word "rape" is permitted in the series.

Violence & Gore

  • The special episodes - "An Eye for an Eye" and "Revenge" contain strong violence, while the third special - "All or Nothing" contains strong and prolonged violence.
  • Violence can range from mild to moderate, sometimes quite strong and bloody. Normal acts of violence include that persons on the show beat others with their fists. They also have intense emotional conflict. Storylines have also included domestic violence, stabbings, shootings and glassings. However, there is also natural disasters including floods, which presumably drown characters, and a man is killed with a bullet wound to the chest. Some slight blood. A man was apparently impaled on a tree branch. A bomb kills several in a room, some blood on their faces.

Profanity

  • Words such as 'damn', 'hell', 'crap', 'bloody', 'cow', 'bitch', 'piss' and 'arse' are used. Other words, like 'slut', 'slag' 'whore', 'ho' (prostitute), 'slapper', 'scrubber', 'skank', 'tart' and 'tramp' have been used. 'Shit', 'pussy', 'shag', 'screw' and 'balls' have been mentioned on occasions, while the word 'bastard' has even been used. Religious expletives such as 'God', 'Goddamn' and 'Jesus Christ' are used.
  • Moderate language was used more frequently in the early years of the series. More recently, it became less frequent, when replaced with more adult-themed content such as stronger scenes of violence, drugs, sex etc.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • None of the characters smoke in the show, but on very rare occasions have been seen smoking a cigarette or cigar.
  • there is alot of alcohol consumption on the show, especially with the younger or underage characters. Some of the younger and older character have been alcoholics and the effects of their condition has been seen is much detail. One character in particular was Irene Roberts, who often got disturbingly violent.
  • Drugs have also been a huge issue on the show. Several character have suffered drug overdoses. One committed suicide from a heroin overdose. Marijuana is seen on a shelf, under a caravan, it's implied that teenage characters have smoked it. No actual drug use shown.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Season1-100( M12+ ( Mature Themes, Infrequent Mild Violence, Infrequent Mild Drug References & Sexual References )
  • Violence on the show can sometimes be quite disturbing. Domestic violence, child abuse, mental illness, rape, self-harm. Storylines like these can affect viewers as they are quite intense and graphic.
