The parents's New Year toast is interrupted by the news of the rafting disaster. Miranda lashes out absurdly, later apologizes. Dan finds Libby, who is hospitalized, there tells her he wants to quicken their wedding. Declan finds Bridget, in good condition. Zeke however isn't found, unlike his life-jacket. Steph only notices hours later Susan's calls, having rented a motel-room with instant lover Greg Michaels. Visiting Libby in hospital, she sees Greg kiss Dr. Veronica Olenski.

Ty tries to divert Rach from Zeke remaining missing with another guitar lesson. Karl is desperate to keep busy, but so stressed he calls Harold's faith empty lies. Simon Freedman calls his sister to order at Elle's. Donna learns their ma has a dodgy new boyfriend. Lacking medical records of Bridget's biological parents may prove a problem, yet Miranda feels threatened, as Declan senses, but Steve prods her to do the right thing.

Karl has nightmares about Zeke being missing and needing his help. After hearing from the rescuers Zeke's rafting helmet was found in such a bed state that hope is bleak and asking Harold, who obviously forgives the earlier sneer at his faith, whether dreams can convey messages, Karl feels the need to act upon it. Steph denies Greg any chance to explain about his void marriage, nor listens when he announces a divorce.

Ringo instinctively likes sensitive Simon, but sides with Donna when he finds the kid packed to leave and hears him accuses big sister of manipulating everyone, especially to have dad to herself. Paul plans to publish Andrew's acquittal for an accident in the military reserve, until Rebecca promises to stop seeing Andrew. Lucas notices that Susan's MS is back. Dan accepts Libby's child-wish, even though it's probably rivalry with Sam.

Elle refuses to accept Paul keeps Andrew's past as insurance against Rebecca, but Samantha helps her and Lucas steal the file. They look into the military charge with witness Trevor Maguire. Even in hospital for an MS check-up, Susan refuses to have Karl informed, but Libby ignores that. She admits she stooped taking her medicine.

He's so bitterly frustrated Karl fears he planned to stage a long-term fugue. TY feels Rachel is hiding in music. Elle publishes an article behind Paul's back with humiliating pictures.

Ty is furiously insulted when Stef dares pretend he 'abuses' Rachel's worries while he's her loving rock. Ringo is neither impressed nor turned when Donna 'treats' him to pink balloons to apologize for the pregnancy trap. Simon makes both realize how special their love is, enough to repair it, while Tegan just sneezed at it. Karl has even worse nightmares, about Zeke bitterly blaming him. On top of all that, Susan blames him for 'ignoring' the remaining family, notably Rachel.

Thanks to Lucas and Greg, Charlie is rushed to hospital and will recover fully. Greg's wife is icy to Steph, even before she seems Greg kissing her. Libby's mean language is overheard and finally gets her expelled. Callum finally acknowledges Toadie as his 'dad', which gets formalized by contract.

Now bad mouth Libby is expelled by Steph, Dan lets her and Ben move in with him without consulting Toadie or Ben, who makes Ben his 'butler'.

Andrew has revoked the expulsions given Zeke's disappearance. Declan attacks Kyle, only to find he's grieving even more then the old gang. Harold's decision to turn over his house to the Salvation Army to put up needy people arouses negative sentiments about a flow of 'loosers' and real estate value loss. The young Freedman kids want to stay, which may overstay their welcome at Paul's. Declan helps fickle Didge while she wines first the department hasn't responded to her request to know her biological parents, then to open the envelope when it arrives. Kelly announces she's leaving to teach in Africa.

Ringo's rage makes Karl throw him out, Sass takes him in.

Ringo has spent the night on Sass's but refuses to stay longer. On the way out he formally dumps Donna. Sam hesitates whether to run to new Zealand and whether to tell Dan the baby isn't his. Sass decides to blackmail her not for a newspaper job but to convince Paul to throw Donna out, so she's forced to move in with the Freedman family. Callum starts his scouting career by fighting with Mikey and lies about camp, but is forgiven because of his motive.

Lucas and Elle return to the farm where he shot a picture of a Zeke-lookalike to search the knave's room, but still aren't sure. Steve is furious to learn Miranda never told him she paid Didge's birth-mother to stay away, even when they couldn't afford it. A dodgy P.I. offers Didge the mother's coordinates for an excessive fee, which would cut deep in Declan's baby fund, so he sells his signed baseball and mortgages his car.

Lucas and Elle tell Susan they suspect to be on Zeke's trace, just when Karl has returned to his medical practice. Sergeant Rick Lawson trusts 'host' farmer Phil, who claims the room and belongings are his son Trent's. Simon convinces Paul to let Donna move back in, although Paul sees right trough his pranks.

Phil has an elaborate cover-story, but once Susan told Karl they set out and reach the Andrews farm. Ringo 'catches' Donna with Ty, actually teaching him the 'bootiescooting' dance steps.

Yet before Phil arrives, his memory returns so Phil gets the goodbye. Still thing don't return to normal back in Ramsay Street. Steve forces meanly defensive Miranda to accept Didge inviting Joanna to dinner. Desperate to keep Joanna away, Miranda admits she paid her to stay again. While Lou and the likes help Harold tending to Sas's garden for her sake, Simon's prank-story convinces Paul and her -hoping to strike gold- to flirt again.

Now Harold is actually moving out and feared never to return from his visit to Sky, Ramsay Street is sad but still insists on a 'surprise' send-off party, this time with a Salvo twist. Harold leaves keepsakes for everyone, and finds a huge live surprise in his trailer: Lou! Declan is even more furious then the Parker parents saddened when Didge decrees, after all her yelling about being given up for adoption, that Declan's baby is to suffer the same fate. But Miranda offers an alternative: Steve and her can raise the kid if she doesn't.

At the wedding party, Karl and Susan invite Ringo to move back in, but he refuses to bunk with Zeke again and points out he's with Donna again, to their double disappointment. Lucas makes up with Elle, why Zeke and Elle ignore her. Sass makes Elle promise to but out if she can prove to be best for Paul, who flirts with Rebecca again, this time successfully. Teegan tells ma about Andrew. He acts indignant when sass prods him to court Rebbecca, but still does so, and is just in time to stop a fight between Ringo and presumed, actually platonic, love rival Zeke.

After Andrew broke up Zeke's fist-fight with Ringo, Susan fails to mediate. To Sass's delight, Rebecca kisses Andrew, just after her night with Paul, yet to Elle's despair commits to neither. Ringo isn't in the least uninterested in Donna's kid sister's crush on him, but Donna refuses to make up. Paul still resists Sass, until Rebecca decides to dine with Andrew.

Furthermore Rebecca tells him his unsympathetic principal is also to become his step-father, yet he congratulates her.

Now Rach has left for a year in London, Zeke tries his luck with Donna, who first claims their kiss was meaningless, then changes her mind and initiates the next kiss with her 'most trustworthy' partner, even over Ringo. Karl commends Ty for his help in making Rach accept the scholarship. Newcomer Lis gets coached about handling Toadie by Steve, who even considers her a romantic alternative if his divorce goes trough, but finds Lucas beet him to that punch. Libby worries over Callum's bad influence on Ben, Dan feels the cute kid can use some knavish influence.

Sass's 'fahionalble' school uniform modifications make Tegan the butt of the school, so Simon sticks up for her against Kyle and at home.

Karl bitterly blames Susan for the likely harm to recovering Zeke form her and Steve's irresponsible idea. Letters from Donna, off to search her dad, make them dodge the public boxing duel, but they have a private no-rules rumble. Zeke wins with martial arts, but Ringo plays dirty and hurts him unexpectedly. Dan has a hired time encouraging Ben to grim into boyhood between Callum's excessively knavish example and over-protective Libby's embarrassing baby-cuddling.

Zeke injury isn't serious, he heals completely in no time. Ringo sincerely apologizes and offers to be mates again, in vain. Lucas presents flirt Lisa to Elle, who fields delivery man Mark Chaplin as 'perfect date'. Declan mediates to help Steve and Didge make up and talk about the non-final divorce prospect. Zeke is forced to go to therapy, then runs off to shake hands with Ringo and invite him to move back in, but only to get Karl and Susan off his back.

Declan still feels principal Andrew isn't right for his ma, but lets her bribe him to leave the house while she tries to cook French and even gives relationship advice. Elle keeps using delivery hunk Mark Chaplin to make Lucas jealous, but despite using Lisa as counter-date, Lucas refuses to fight for Elle and quits as newspaper photographer when Paul pushes him. Dan's life is hell, now pregnant Libby shamelessly dumps on him all work at home and in school, including Ben who became impish and bothersome.

Lucas commiserates, recalling how mercilessly dad Fitzgerald disciplined them. Andrew makes up for having had to cancel dinner with Rebecca by cooking for her and two friends and invites her to move in with him. Miranda still hopes for a Lassiter's job by presenting ideas for improvement in their service, but can't resist meddling with Paul's planned article exposing Andrew.

Declan hates the idea of Andrew entering his private life by dating his ma, but still agrees when she wants to move in with the principal. Paul toys with MP3-thief Simon and the yet again postponed article to expose Andrew. Ty's resolve to give up guitar music is interrupted by Didge's promise he would play at Mikey's birthday party, but he refuses to keep Ned's guitar. To Ringo delight, Karl, Declan and Zeke come along to his pro league introduction party, but star Adam Clark coldly tells them non-team-mates aren't really welcome anymore.

Ringo has to stay all night playing cards with his new team mates, then strip starkers and wait in the bathroom for his initiation- only to find after an hour that was it. Zeke sounds bitter and unsympathetic when Ringo calls about their impending school test. Adam Clarke offers his cool Hummer to take the test after all, but the police stops them. Declan dreams of fatherhood, only earning him an argument from abortion-minded Didge. Dan and Libby bicker about baby names without knowing the gender, but nature deals her a blow.

Adam Clark bails Ringo out of his driving peril and missed test, but his mates act jealously, as if he willingly dumped the whole gang. Libby and the baby look like they'll pull through in hospital, but she has two more crises. Lucas can barely stop his aggression as a security guard bugs him about a parking space. When the second crisis threatens her life, the doctor needs his permission for a hysterectomy.

Unlike their baby, Libby has survived surgery, thanks to Dan allowing a hysterectomy, but as he feared she can't stand the sight of him as that leaves her infertile. Elle has another go at making Lucas jealous by dating Mark Chaplin again, which turns messy when Lucas feels entitle to 'steal' a comforting kiss. Realizing how much luckier they are, Declan and Didge dump all obstacles and commit to parenthood.

Zeke is best mate with Kyle again, laughing at Tegan's hopeless chemistry project. She blurts out helpful Simon's frustrated theft to ma. Only Paul manages to talk some sense into Sass concerning her embarrassing meddling with the kids. Lucas has a ball minding Ben, but Dan gives him hell for bonding over motorbikes. After more pushing from Paul, Lucas finally returns Elle's declaration of love. Steve's hope their saved grand-parental aspirations would patch up his marriage is smashed.

Lucas and Elle finally made it into bed, until Paul accidentally catching them kills the mood. Now the little boys have embraced 'music', Ty is suckered into tutoring them, and he's really good at it. Sass easily buys off Tegan, but not Simon, and be turned into a flirtatious mini-Sass is too uncool, and Sass blames tomcat Didge.
