Inferior Tortilla/Spaghetti Western filled with crossfire , action , fights , duels and songs.
ma-cortes26 June 2020
It is set in Dallas with plenty of gunfighters who take law on their own hands , which cause diverse problems . Villian Fast Draw assaults a stagecoach with various passengers as Clay Stone (Fred Beir), saloon dancer Katy Dior (Eva Marandi) and gambler Fred Foster (Olivier Mathot) , and subsequently abduct the singer Katy . When Stone arrives in the lawless town , he is ready to free her and to take vengeance against the bandits killed his father . Meantime , Clay befriends a local banker (Angel Alvarez of Django) , the upright sheriff (Andrea Aureli) and falls in love for an old girlfriend (Dina De Santis) from childhood who lives along her little boy brother . Soon after , Fast Draw and his gang of nasty assailants rob another stagecoach . Along the way Clay sets out in pursuit of the stage robber and his band .

This Chorizo/Pasta Western results to be a Spanish/Italian/French co-production that packs lousy acting , fistfights , shootouts , assaults and ordinary brawls at saloon with regular dancers singing and dancing . It is just a pretty bad Paella Western due to low budget and its director is a sort of Spanish Ed Wood , similar to Demofilo Fidani or Miles Deem , deemed to be the Spaghetti Western Ed Wood . It is a Spanish made western that came to the big screen when the top time of the genre was rising . In fact , early and mid sixties is the best time to find out good spaghetti/Chorizo Westerns , however , this is lousily made , following an American style , with little violence , neither much action , nor interesting roles , but a routine and standard story . Here often feels more like a traditional oater instead of Sergio Leone style associated with Spaghetti Westerns of this era that usually contained typical particularities as sadism , bloodbaths , violent fury , and close-ups of grime-encrusted faces . As the movie does not follow utterly the typical paths of the European western wave around seventies , it lacks both the sarcasm and the Eastwood type of antihero It's a Spanish realization .This is not the usual Spanish/Italian co-production of the 60s and 70s in which were clearly dominated by the Italian contingent and the traditional leanings of the Spanish producers of the time have their stamp on the entire proceedings . This one is more a Spanish Western than Italian one , being badly realized with some exciting moments , it drags a lot , balancing in ups and downs ; turning out to be entertaining enough , but below average . Here appear customary main and secondary actors from Spaghetti/Tortilla or Paella Western that give mediocre interpretations . American television actor Fred Beir gives a subdued , but so-so performance playing a stubborn, hero taking off the outlaws who are attacking , assaulting and kidnapping townsfolks . As he seeks vengeance and justice for his death's father , an usual plot in Spaghetti western sub-genre. Furthermore , here shows up passable secondary cast , with plenty of Spanish secondaries , some of them Spaghetti/Paella's ordinaries such as : Angel Alvarez , Luis Induni , Jesus Puente and Italian ones as Roberto Messina and Andrea Aureli . Worn-out and faded cinematography in Eastmancolor with several dark and night moments . Shot on location in Aldea Del Fresno , and Colmenar Viejo , Madrid . As well as anti-climatic , inappropriate musical score , adding a number of songs .

The motion picture was embarrassly written and directed by José Maria Zabalza , this director born in city of Irun sometimes signs his films under the alternate pseudonym ¨Joseph Trader¨ or ¨Harry Freeman¨ with some movies never shown to any audience . He made some disconcerting Paella Westerns , as he made five one : ¨Las Malditas Pistolas De Dallas¨, ¨Los Rebeldes De Arizona¨ , ¨Plomo Sobre Dallas¨, ¨20.00 dollars Por Un Cadáver¨ also titled ¨Twenty Thousand Dollars for Every Corpse¨ or ¨Ehi!... Scendi Dalla Croce¨ and ¨Al Oeste De Rio Grande¨ , most of them starred by similar actors , such as : Michael Rivers , Dyanik Zurakowska , Carlos Quiney , Claudia Gravy , Luis Induni , Guillermo Méndez , José Marco and José Truchado . After personal problems to get worse , increasing shortfalls , as he neglected the technical aspects and , in fact , he attempted to film in just 24 hours his last picture ,¨El Retorno De Los vampiros¨ , until his early death at 57. Rating : 3.5/10.

Dallas hasn't changed much

Warning: Spoilers
Poorly staged action sequences are the hallmarks of this low budget, shot in Spain Eurowestern. When a local banker is killed by stage robbers in a lawless town, it's up to hero Clay Stone (American television veteran Fred Beir, who probably shot this while on vacation) to whip the townsfolk into line and help them defend themselves. Bad guy Fast Draw (Angel Alvarez, clearly aping the physical appearance of Eastwood's Man With No Name) and his gang of wild west miscreants stand in the way, whilst Bardot-a-like Evi Marandi tags along for love interest. Gioacchino Angelo's jaunty but annoying score underlines the film's eagerness to please via a constant supply of gunfights and chases, but the second unit work is uniformly atrocious. I've seen better fistfights on the Universal Studios back-lot tour. All in all, cheap and cheerful entertainment for undemanding fans of the genre.

Lame Euro western
Wizard-818 August 2017
This particular Euro western is strange in several aspects. For one thing, it often feels more like an American western from the 1940s or 1950s instead of the gritty feel usually associated with Euro westerns of this period. There are even some low key musical numbers here and there. But in the end, this turned out to be one of the dullest Euro westerns I have seen to date. The storyline is really slow and uneventful for long periods. To make matters worse, there isn't that much action, and when action does come along, it is totally without bite or excitement. (The hand to hand combat, for one thing, is too obviously choreographed.) As for the music, it isn't particularly memorable as well. The end results are so tiresome I actually had to take a nap halfway through. For insomniacs only.
