Adventure fictional about some travelers who shipwreck on a far location and inspired by Jules Verne novel . Adventure tale full of colorful scenarios , thrills , action and in low budget . It's a mediocre fun with naive special effects , acceptable production design and atmospheric art direction . A ship called Slough embarks aboard 15 children of different nacionalities . They undergo a hazardous voyage . After a tumultous thunder they are shipwrecked at a mysterious island where they have several adventures , as well as amusement , as playing football or celebrating Christmas . After that ,some of them set out in exploring the island and hunting animals . At last , they meet a beautiful woman , and other surprises as a bizarre grotto , a skeleton , wildlife : leopard, serpents , a suspect ark and many other things . Along the way they face numerous dangers , risks , treason and pirates .
