Pierre Montazel was mainly a great cinematographer, I think of 2 Jean Gabin' main title, "Touchez pas au grisbi" and "Razzia sur la chnouf". He directed only 7 movies, this one being the first one, kind of noir comedy, but although the casting is fabulous, the movie lacks some madness it needs, but it's still entertaining with great casting, don't miss little characters. Best scene? Sophie Desmarets arrival. Funny, I just read some Ric Hochet adventures before, same kind of plots.
