  • A young women is raped, and gets pregnant. Her family throws her out when she will not marry the man who raped her.
  • In the beginning of the film, a young housekeeper gets pregnant by her employer, (the main character father), and is fired when he finds out. Later that same day, the housekeeper is found dead, after drowning herself. He lifeless body is shown.

Violence & Gore

  • Two cruel people who run a corrupt girls reformatory are beaten in it time with the same gong they use to control the girls lives. It's a bit shocking to witness.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man is distraught after learning he is penniless. He turns to open a window, the camera pans away, when it pans back He is gone, having jumped out the window, killing himself. The women in the room look on, shocked and terrfied.
  • A pregnant housekeepers body is shown laid out, after she kills herself by drowning.
