No among Koko's best....but still quite good.

During the 1920s, I think the two very best silent cartoon series were Felix the Cat as well as Koko the Clown. Koko was created and animated by the Fleischer brothers who later went on to create Betty Boop and Popeye....but I think I prefer the silent Koko cartoons most.

When the story begins, the inkwell overturns and Koko is created as a result...along with a violent baby and a baby carriage. Later, Max turns on a fan and creates a storm which causes all sorts of mayhem...including blowing poor Koko's face clean off! He also is bullied by the mean baby.

I think this is only a fair Koko short mostly because while the outside world interacts with Koko, Koko stays in the cartoon throughout and doesn't enter the real world. As a result, there's less to see and enjoy and the laughs, while there, aren't among the best in the series.
