A good-natured shot at the screen detective
deickemeyer3 January 2020
"The Vanishing Vault" is a vivid and vital vindication of Donald I. Buchanan's sense of humor. In this one-reel comic satire he takes a good-natured shot at the screen detective and his marvelous methods. Billy Quirk, Charles Eldridge, and Constance Talmadge are detailed to unravel the mystery and let loose the fun. They accomplish both purposes. - The Moving Picture World, May 22, 1915
