Cesare is a young "coatto" whose tranquil, multi-ethnic provincial life is suddenly turned upside down when he is arrested by detective Gaspardi. Cesare is taken to a mysterious basement for interrogation and is forced to deal with inspector Gaspardi in an increasingly tense confrontation.
