Hobo, tramp, beggar, vagabond; they had many names, the people who wandered from farm to farm, town to town, right up until the 20th century. They communicated by means of signs cut into gateposts and doors as messages to each other about the disposition of vagrants in the farms. Josef Blazenin has met the artist Kerstin Bergh, who makes pictures with hobo signs and talks about some of them.
