Being an attractive young lady, Pansy Hale has many admirers, and her father not being particularly partial to any of them, they have a hard time. Not knowing how else to cope with the situation, he finally sends her to a very strict school presided over by Miss Sourdough. Pansy does not take kindly to the "prison" life as she terms it, and sends Jack and Tom catalogues of the school containing a list of the rules and regulations. Both boys are struck by the clause about parents and guardians only, being permitted to visit the girls, and each disguises himself as a gray-haired gentleman of middle age. In the meantime, Mr. Hale has bought an automobile and drives to the school to show it to Pansy. On the way he runs into and upsets a pushcart, and is pursued by a cop. Tom reaches the school first and readily gains admittance after introducing himself as Pansy's papa. The girl recognizes him but stifles her laughter and the two stroll through the grounds. Then Jack appears in his makeup and introduces himself as Pansy's papa. Miss Sourdough is speechless with amazement, and sends for Pansy. She and Tom enter the office just as the real papa Hale arrives, followed by the policeman. Miss Sourdough goes into hysterics and papa Hale insists on the boys being arrested for impersonation. The cop takes them all to the station house, including Pansy. She there meets her childhood sweetheart, Billy, and while the three in trouble are being questioned, Billy persuades Pansy to slip outside and marry him. On their return from the minister's they find the three "Papas" in a cell, and when Pansy introduces her husband, they collapse completely.
