Loved this film. Beautiful and yet brutal in the same breath. Wonderful acting and directing. Shocks and twists.

Hugh Laurie is one of the finest actors around. He delivers a flawed yet incredible character. Fundamentally good to the core Mr Watts is in a situation impossible for us to imagine. Laurie brings such skill that I feel his plight. I don't want to give the story away but he shows that incredible acting doesn't need shouting, sobbing etc. It needs believability.
The relationship between him and Mathilda is played to perfection. A wonderful bond over a wonderful story.
