This was a slam dunk 8 or better until Bodin and a brain dead show runner picked Herman to run 51 instead of Severide - I can understand the producer wanting to keep Herman relevant but to put him in charge of 51 instead of a bar for firefighters is just a brain dead decision - Severide is the sr Lt - and next in line with awards to prove it to move up but the Show runner decided that it would be easier to keep one of the popular folks in 51 by putting him in charge - I have to assume the producer has no concept of what leadership means - Herman is not a leader - at best a good follower and was made a lt to keep him on the show but to keep Chicago a #1 show - they need to fix this or I won't care if I watch it next year or not . The reason could be that accusing the show runner of advanced Dementia might be a disservice - he may know that Severide is leaving the show next year and not telling anyone right now - that has to be the only logical explanation for such a stupid illogically brain dead decision.
