Seema and Rateesh go to Kashmir for their honeymoon . Usually soft and quite Seema starts behaving strangely and speaks in chaste Hindi. Rateesh is aware that she never spoke one word of Hindi before. As they keep touring scenic places , she keeps changing her behaviour in phases. They consult a local psychiatrist who is also unable to understand her. On one such tours they come across Sumalatha a local Kashmiri boat rider. She recognizes Seema as her close friend . Slowly the story is revealed that Seema was a local Kashmiri girl who was in love with Mamooty her timber estate manager. This was resented by her fiance and Mamooty was killed finally by him . Seema dies due to shock. Now her soul keeps entering the new bride Seema . A lot of fights and twists later Seema is restored as before . She returns back happily with her husband Rateesh. Mamooty comes in a small role but manages to make an impact .
