Barriss Offee is still in prison after her betrayal on the Jedi Order in Clone Wars season 5. But during Order 66 she is presented with an opportunity to become an inquisitor.
Together with two other candidates gets tested. The grand inquisitor himself activates the dark side in Barriss and after beating her component she is granted the rank as inquistor under the presence of the dark lord himself Darth Vader. This is ironic, haven't they fight each other after Barriss betrayal. Now Anakin also joined the dark side.
All in all this episode clearly is the best of the entire show, giving us not only the long-awaited return of a beloved character but also the appearances of the grand inquisitor and Darth Vader. We also get to see the construction of the Fortress Inquisitorious, first introduced in Jedi: Fallen Order.
