It's fight sequences are high-octane and what cuts it does allow itself are pointedly intentional to keep Boy and cast moving like superheros rather than martial-arts experts, and keeping one foot outside of reality is where Boy Kills World thrives. Unfortunately the exploration of other ideas expose Boy Kills World as a novelty, as few of the ideas mesh well with the foundation of the film.
