I like Australian humour and watching Australian characters be Australian. This series had a good dose of both. Also a good plot and the acting was great. So were the sets. Only drawback was that the lead character was American. He was a great actor and he did his job well, but I just dont want to watch an American. There are plenty of other places inside and outside Australia that the character could have come from. Spoiler alert here - the series finishes with the Australian town earning income from the yank which puts the yank in a position of power and that left a bad taste in my mouth. Other than that it was quite enjoyable.
