NCIS: A Thousand Yards (2024)
Season 21, Episode 7

One glaring absence

Warning: Spoilers
The woman who seeks revenge against NCIS never mentions the agent who killed her father yet that is her motive. So, shouldn't that agent have been the main target of her revenge? Of course, bringing Gibbs back was not an option so his name couldn't even be mentioned by the woman. Therefore, the writers had to script it so it appeared the woman was seeking revenge against everyone and everything related to NCIS. CBS writers continue to sell out instead of focusing on realism and believability. I hope someone said something to the effect, "You can't write a flashback episode related to the very first one without including Gibbs." In an effort to identify the suspect and their motive they show a flashback to the showdown on-board Air Force One in season 1 episode 1. The only references to Gibbs are related to the flashbacks. The highlights for me were near the end, including four NCIS agents on the runway, holding up their badges and stopping Air Force One from taking off. The final scene, between Vance and his son, was great. They didn't even need all those flashbacks of other NCIS characters and shows.
