We missed an episode and it didn't matter
18 April 2024
This is a show that slowly unfolds and then unfolds again, then unfolds again against itself and then circles back for a repeat orbit. The acting is on point. Kudos to Noomi Rapace, Jonathan Banks, Barbara Sukowa, and Rosie and Davina Coleman for delivering intense angst filled performances. I appreciated that the writing included a child who was not a petulant brat. The story is suspenseful with many moments of confusion for both the characters and viewer; but by sticking with it there would be a sideways or backward reveal to help process what might be happening. Like I said, we missed an episode and it wasn't essential in helping us understand the story. Some Sci-Fi shows are worth a second and third watch, for me, this is not one.
