I honestly can't understand the poor ratings of this film, perhaps those who didn't live through those years weren't able to fully grasp its spirit. The year 1983 marks a historic moment for motor racing and automotive engineering in general, being the last year that a two-wheel drive car competed in a rally race. The film describes very well the situation of the Lancia team and the dominance of the new 4X4 technology that Audi introduces into competitions. The plot is slightly fictionalized but the story as a whole tells of events that really happened in the championship 83' Rally fans can't help but see it!
