I think the viewing audience has had their fill of 'member berries'(thank you South Park). It is about time that ridiculous has a comeback. The first movie was great(original NOT afterlife) not only because it was funny, but also because it never took itself seriously(So much talent as well). As soon as I saw the normal looking ghost in Frozen Empire, I got a chill going down my spine, not in a good way. It was dread, the feeling was dread.
The jokes were stale, the action was boring, they used Winston as a token rather than a character (His importance was always undervalued, this movie drove it home in a way that felt a little off).
Oh and then that part where Phoebe helps Melody, was anyone else reminded of The Real Ghostbusters?(That show is probably the only tie-in that actually tried to honor the original). In fact most of Frozen Empire plays out like bad episodes from the cartoon.
Hollywood needs to stop forcing agendas on the audience and just let us enjoy a movie.
