This episode was an excellent finale to a much-improved season. As an original fan, this episode made me feel like coming home and gave me the urge to go and play the games again.
The return of an ancient evil and its portrayal in live-action was fantastic. The theme of "broken soldiers" that the Spartans contend with all season with a variety of outcomes for each of them continues in this episode. Action sequences are fantastic - from ship combat, to space combat, to the grand finale of Chief vs Arbiter. They even managed to make Kwan Ha's storyline much more intriguing by the end as well.
What a ride. At this point, I've fully bought in. Can't wait for Season 3.
