So bad it's good

Warning: Spoilers
A lot of films have the formula of either an ordinary person in an extraordinary situation or an extraordinary person in an ordinary situation. This was the latter (supposedly). For a film made in 2011 it felt 30 years old. The writing and especially the acting were (here is the extraordinary bit..) extraordinarily bad.

The budget must have been tight. The billionaire's house was .. well .. imagine Uncle Phil's house from Fresh Prince. Very 80s. The car he gets picked up in was from the 80s. Even the maid was black for christ sakes.

The horrible boss could have had his comeuppance, instead it turns out he's gay (wow, what a twist..) The daughter looks 12 and somehow it is ok for her to try and seduce the 32 year old. What with the wife of the horrible boss acting like she's constantly desperate, the whole thing feels like a really bad 80s soft adult film.

Despite all of that, I did manage to sort a bucket load of socks and it was a distraction at best. With a better script and better actors, this could have been much better. I don't think even a bigger budget would have helped much, but overall it was fun, sweet and predictable and if you're expecting fireworks for the big reveal... don't.
