Slotherhouse is a 2023 horror film comedy edited and directed by Matthew Goodhue (Woe, Dames, Virgil, and Breakfast for Dinner). It was produced and written by Bradley Fowler (Novel Love, Voices, Good Girl, Crib, and Love Meet Hope). It had a limited theatrical run. Emily Young (played by: Lisa Ambalavanar from Titans, The Stuff of Legend, The A List, and Doctors) adopts a pet three-toed sloth named Alpha with the goal of using it to gain votes to become head of the Sigma Lambda Theta (SLTH).

The sorority which includes: Brianna (played by: Sydney Craven from Jeepers Creepers: Reborn), Zenny (played by: Bianca Beckles-Rose from Watch What I Do), Madison (played by: Olivia Rouyre from American Horror Stories), Sarah (played by: Sutter Nolan from Deer In The Headlight), Gabby (played by: Milica Vrzic from The Outpost), Dakota (played by: Annamaria Serda from Mayhem and Crawl), Chloe (played by: Grace Patterson from Cheer For Your Life), Ava (played by: Kelly Lynn Reiter from The Hunger Games and Maneater), Alissa (played by: Tiana Upcheva from The Ark and The Outpost), and Morgan (played by: Cady Lanigan from Gutshot Straight). The pet is loved by all until it begins to kill the sorority girls one by one. The girls must survive and escape the sloth alive from it's murderous ways!!!!!

Slotherhouse is a wild and somewhat original concept so it grabbed my attention right away. For being a PG-13 horror feature, this was better than I thought it would be. Obviously, Slotherhouse isn't loaded with gore or violence but it does have it's moments for it's rating. It's heavy on the comedy which works great with it's plot and main villain. I would have never thought someone would have made a killer sloth movie but here we are. They knew what they were doing when they put together this horror comedy, it has a parody vibe to it which compliments it's dark humor. Everything is over the top here like the killer, characters, and the fx. Slotherhouse never takes itself that serious and it just tries to entertain the whole time. It has a solid cast especially Lisa Ambalavanar and Sydney Craven. It definitely has some strong replay value and it's perfect to watch with some friends for some drinking games fun. It won't be your favorite of the year but it will make an impression after it's original viewing!!!!
